Deals Don’t Need to Be Big to Be Impactful
We are pleased to unveil the new Park West Plaza in Homewood, Illinois. While this is a small shopping center of only 12,000 square feet, it sits right near the important intersection of Kedzie and 183rd Street in Homewood, Illinois, and has served residents with important local stores for over 50 years. We purchased this center from the Village of Homewood, which obtained ownership through a Cook County program allowing municipal ownership of properties with delinquent real estate taxes.

In less than one year, this property has received a new roof, parking lot, lighting, signage, and landscaping, and is well on its way to full occupancy.
Rob Palley, the Managing Principal of Granite Realty Partners said, “This is a perfect example of how cooperation between a municipality and a private developer can bring an outdated, poorly maintained property, back to life. Even though it’s a small project, it makes a big local impact”.
